Methods of giving
One of our supporters
suggested that an easy way to raise more funds for YOUTHWORX-East Africa
is through their on-line shopping habits and internet searches. We've
taken up their suggestion so now you can Search the Web and raise funds
for YEA, and also shop online and raise money for YEA.

the retailer as you would normally, but if you sign up to

of your purchase.

Paul and Kay's Bognor 10k
On Sunday 16th May Paul and Kay Attwell ran the Bognor 10k road race in aid of YEA. If we raise money using
the sponsor form given to us by the organisers, and send them the money
we have been given by the end of July, they send it all back to us by
the middle of August with another 20% added. This is in addition to the
gift aid that we can claim back if sponsors have signed a form or the
sponsor sheet. If you were thinking of giving any money to YEA this
year, this is a very efficient way of giving with not too much extra
effort from you. You can e-mail us with your offered donation and we can
fill in the form on your behalf and you can send us a cheque or give us
cash by July. If any of this doesn't make sense, or if you'd like to
help, please contact us -
kay.attwell@youthworx-ea.org.uk
Paul ran in 48mins 49secs - a personal best. Kay
ran in 1 hour 32 seconds, a little slower than last year - a very windy
day again - will try to do better next year!! |

This proved to be more energetic than we expected, but great
fun. Thanks to all who organised the
evening, provided craft to sell and braved the snowy conditions
to join us - we raised about £220 for the work of Youthworx-East
Africa. |

plus a gang of heroic helpers busy all day preparing, serving
and clearing up afterwards. Over £200 was raised. Thanks to all
that came! |

A New Vehicle for 2008!
Thanks very much to all of you who bought stars
or vouchers towards a new vehicle over the Christmas period. Including
gift-aid we can reclaim we raised over £300. Added to other gifts we had £1400
at the end of February. We were given
first-refusal on a Land rover discovery, which Silver's family shipped out and
were given all the funding needed to buy it. It is now on the road and
relieving the pressure on the 'bus'! Transport will always be an
on-going expense for the work of YEA and we would love to begin to have
monthly sponsors for vehicle costs. Talk to us if this is something
you'd like to help with. |
